Hi everyone I just bought a 2001 Srx 700 and was wondering what are the best mods or improvements to change or do to give it that extra kick?

clutching is cheapest and best bang for your buck, look at turks posts or mrvipers posts for plenty of good setups http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=90079

Other than clutching there really isn't a great amount of mods that help performance like what you might find with other brands.Read as much as you can and go over the clutch setups other members have and decide which direction you want to go,as far as how aggressive a setup you want.Once you get the clutching dialed in address the traction area with studding and possibly adjustable transfer rods.
Don't get sucked into the idea that you need V force reeds or Boyeseen because unless your doing some extensive engine work stock is best.Same goes for the exhaust, stock muffler makes the most hp regardless what the claims by pipe manufacturers say.

biggest bang for the buck bar none list:
1.) clutching
2.) more clutching
3.) clutching and gearing it for your riding style
4.) did I mention clutching?
