Ran my sled up in the U.P. last weekend for the first long ride of the year! Anyway I found out that my Srx 700 is sucking fuel and my buddy could smell unburned gas when he was following behind me. We opened up the air box and found that there was a little bit of gas at the bottom of it. Leaving the air box off we started her back up and could feel a little bit of gas coming into the box from the right carb. We looked at all 3 of the Reeds and the petals are in great shape. Opened up the carbs to see if any of my jets were loose or off but they were all securely in place. Could this be an issue with the size of my jets? What other issues could this be?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Were all of the reeds sealing properly on the cages? They may "look" alright but if they aren't sealing flush..... You mentioned your jetting, what kind of jetting are you running? Are all of your float levels at proper spec? Carb slides set properly?(all the same height?)

If the srx vents to the airbox the stuck float or bad needle and seat would explain it, bad reed petals can explain it if the bowl vents are external. If you've never done reed petals it might be a good time to change them as a precaution anyways.
