Two days of rain just wiped out 80% of our snow. So far this year I have spent
$700 and gone 55 miles. Last week it was -25f and now it's +45f, what the hell?
I feel bad for all the local stores and hotels, this really puts a hurt on our local
economy between no skiing and no sledding. I have been on a sled since I was
10 and now I am 37, I hate to say it but I may take up ice fishing next year as
my new winter sport. At least if it's raining I can sit in the shanty and drink! I
hope you guys are having better luck this year.

We are in a deep freeze here our temps have been in the -30's to -40 celcius with the windchill reaching -50 in the north it just too dam cold to ride when temps are like this, plus it makes the snow turn into cement and with the no-action suspension it is not a fun ride

We got about 6" in Iowa, but the snow blew away! Still plenty in ditches atleast. I do vote Ice fishing, there is always time to do both, drag the shack out with the sled.

I just look at my sled now sit on my lawn. We had 6 inches or so but record highs yesterday and today of 53 degrees wiped out all the snow. Ive had my sled on craigslist for 2 months now at 1500.00 and the only action ive had is trade offers. Some real good deals on there. 01 srx 1600.00 in mass ive seen a 01 for 1400.00. People just dont have any funds right now for toys I guess. Glad I'm not desperate to sell. Id hate to see how low I have to drop her to see her go! I second ice fishing. Never been that into it but at least I could bomb around on my 600 grizzly4x4. Man I love that wheeler!

Winter just went down the drain here too. Been raining for two days. Kind of upsetting when it was -20 last week. Normally we have 6 good storms by now, only 3 so far and none for 30 days.

actually I wouldn't mind some of that warmer weather. It is in the -40 plus windchills here and colder tonight... cannot stand this cold crap..The cold has made everything rock hard..so a little disappointing when I went for a ride,my back was finished.Need all week to heal..just can't win.But we do need the moisture because of the last 2 years being in drought..Have a feeling drought again this Summer and I just don't like the heat when it gets above 30C..There are still a ton of sleds for sale on Kijiji here, guess alot of people getting out of the sport...very expensive sport to be into when people have basic Bills to pay, especially the younger sledders...

It is what it is. The way i look at it i have just over 500 miles this year. Last year my first ride was jan 28th due to the warm weather, so im way ahead of the game this year. The snow will come and go just have to go get it while its there!!!!

We've only had two full weeks of riding here. Xmas to new years and what we had last week. Now gone and starting over again. Snowing like a Biznatch right now. saying 10 - 19 inches next couple days but with all the flooding we had some of our trails are under water so dont know how conditions are gonna be.At least will be able togo play in fields. This is why Im glad I only have a couple grand in the old girl. Dont feel as crappy when it is just sitting there. On the other hand a new one would last forever the way these winters are.

Was in the mid 50's here in Eastern Maine today. Most of the snow we had is gone but hopefully more coming soon. I decided to try and sell my 02 SRX so listed it online with Uncle Henry's on Monday. Had somebody look at it yesterday. I accepted his cash offer and he picked it up last night. If we get any snow hopefully nothing happens to the Viper!
Done with it for now!!!bluemonster1 said:you got that right Andy..is the SRX running yet or are you done with it???

oh well can't win them all..mine is done for the season also..to many issues with my PV's and cables to deal with.Ready to update to a newer sled anyways in the near future. But luv my little 600 ditch banger,I can throw it at anything and it keeps on ticking..coming to 17,000 km's on it and no appointment's really..always starts easily..even in this weather.
