i have a 99 srx 700 triple with power valves, mods include three into one can with stock pipes v force reeds and larger jets not sure on the sizes 96 studs and a team rapid reaction twin tracks secondary. the primary looks stock other than a few small cracks. my question is with these mods what cluch work should i do and how do i identify the specs of my secondary. i also have another secondary that came with the sled that says bender racing hylex on it. i ride trails a lot but i really love to drag race my friends and for some reason cant beat my friends 600 ho rev....its sad i know. my next step is a set of aftermarket pips but i know the right clutches are important but i dont know enought about clutchs to know what i need thanks scott.

There is literraly a million correct answers as well as a million wrong answers to several of the questions you asked. First things first. Primary springs are labeled with 3 paint dots indicating what the are or some aftermarket are one solid color. You need to know what kind of primary weights (8bu10/8dn10/8dn20...etc) and what they are weighted and where. Secondary springs are usually one solid color and wrap really depends on what the helix is (brand,straight/split angle) wrap on secondary pretty common 60-70. Gearing (will need top and bottom numbers) what are you running for a track? Studded? How many? Theres a few hundred differant setups guys are using in the tech section, good place to start.

Part of knowing what you need is knowing what you have. For what its worth its hard to beat the tripple pipes your sled came with, Seems power inc are the only aftermarket that makes more power than stock. No pipe will make up for a bad clutch set up.
