does anybody know why yamaha changed the location of the servo motor from the airbox mount on a 98 to the firewall location on 1999 and newer. I got a great deal on a set of 1998 powervalves with the short cables that are in awesome shape. mine are rough with a lot of km. I don't think the harness is long enough to reach so i'm going to have to extend the wires for it to work. Was there problems with the short cable setup?Anybody do this mod before? thanks!
yamaha claims to have relocated the mounting point for the servo motor for better accessibilty to the carbs. never had any issues with the pv's on my 98, so i could almost agree with thier logic.
