I have a 1998 srx 700 motor with two blown cylinders, the cylinders and heads are 8DN00.
my question is whether it's possible to replace all 3 cylinders and heads with
8DN10's from a 2000 motor and bolt them to my 98 block.
In other words is a 98 block and crank the same as a 2000 ?
ps. I'm sure I knew this at one point....lol
thanks for your help.

Block or cases are slighlty differant due to newer electronics (mainly the position of the pick up coil) BUT yes you can use 00 and newer cylinders and heads with a 98 crank and 98 case's. The domes are slighlty smaller which will give you a little better compression than your 98 heads.
