Newbie here trying to long travel the front of my 02 srx. Recently i found a guy with a 02 sx-r part out sled , was gonna buy his front end radius rods, tie rods, sway bar etc. But when i asked what stamped letters are on trailing arms he said R and M...!! From reading on this great forum i know there is difference. Can someone here tell me if i can use them or will i have problems.. thanks in advance!

Dont know the differance's or whether you can or should use them. BUT I can tell you M is for standard viper,N for mountain viper,R for Sx-R/Venture. Sounds like he is already running miss matched parts.

if your looking for silver, I have a complete long tube setup with rods and spindles from a vmax delux. I also make brackets to put viper/sxr shocks onto a srx front cast section

Thanks a bunch for fast reply fella's. I bought my sled last season for a great price not really knowing what i was getting into. I really love this sled but want to get some more travel up front.. Im sure the skid has some upgrades leaving the front nose diving! When i figure out how to post pics. Maybe you guys could shed some light on what has been done and what needs to happen!! ;)! Thanks again

You can copy and paste link to photo or copy and paste the IMG CODE, Will be a box towards the lower right of pic when veiwing it on photo bucket.

Looks like its been set up as a 136. Looks like a transfer kit and some sort of drop brackets. Front looks to be the stock srx set up with C&A ??? Skis.

Just get yourself a set of longer shocks. I used a set off an early 2000's rmk and they bolted right up to my sx and the only thing required is a couple washers under the tie rod ends just to be safe on clearance. Also what mysledblows is right. looks like a newer style 136 proaction from a warrior with homeade drop brackets and a transfer kit.

you wouldnt mind taking some close up, detailed pics of that transfer kit (straps on the rear of skid) would you?

I don't have the sharpest eye on the mountain sleds, but any chance that's a 141" track/suspension?

Also, keep up your inspections of the very front of your suspension rails. The black rail cap/front of your hyfax looks very close to the inside of your track, hard for me to tell in the pic, but it looks like your cap may already have some of the bottom wearing away. If that cap wears away enough, is loose or falls off, your suspension rail can stab your track, and you may not like what happens next. :)

doesnt look like a 144 or even a 141 but good eye on that. note that there is still some give in the straps so i can see some problems happening there. should look into getting an anti-stab kit

Those look to be Hauk adjustable front shock brackets up front. You need at least a 2" longer set of shocks. That angle is way to severe.
