Has any one had an issue with the sides of the hyfax wearing. Mine seemes to be wearing on curve up towards the driveshaft. It isnt wearing out the bottom of the slides just chewing up the sides. I thought i may have something missing in the chain case making the driveshaft sit off to one side more than the other but its happening on both sides. I run my track as loose as possible aswell. Any thoughs.

Bent track clips, something has to be rubbing, is the inside or outside?

Out side of the rails
Look into a set of marginal wheel for ur skid! Helps hyrax wear saves track slides and prevent runners piercing ur track 3 60 bucks on eBay
I have the marginal snow wheels, and switched the other wheels to Polaris Indy wheels (larger diameter). Solved my problems. The idiots I was riding with this weekend were racing down the road sides at over a 100. I looked at my hyfx today nad had minaml wear. Before the wheels I had rubbed through and skinned my rails at the curve. My sled will roll away by itself if I don't set the parking brake.
Jack your sled up and grab the suspension at the back, see if you can move it side to side (really pull on it). Mine was so sloppy it would flop around. My W arm was broken, and all the bushings were shot. If this is the case it could cause yuor problem. If so get a rebuild kit form Pioneer Performance (bushings), and follow BTV's tighten up program. Night and day differance.

I have Polaris wheels all around and 8 inch rears. The skid is new this season it is a 144 skid from a mountain viper everything was tight and nothing cracked. But just to rule that out I am going to tear it apart again this week. Thanks for the advice
Wow, lots of misspelled words, The Bud Light Gods worked me over this weekend! Try the low snow wheels too, they help. Mine ate sliders every weekend, sometimes 2 pairs.
Good Luck, John

I was talking about the 3 inch wheels on the tips of the skid rail front! If ur having problems still! Alignment is all I can say! Maybe a bent drive axle

are your rear wheels in between the drive lugs or 1 on each outside and 1 in the center?

ok, reason I asked is I have seen where guys run only 3 rear wheels and the center one in the middle and then the drive lugs inside the track dont hold the track alignment. With you mentioning you run a very loose track that would make it easily walk left and right some and the track clips would likely touch the sides of the hyfax wearing into it.

I will tighten the truck up some more and see if it makes any improvements
Too tight and then wam there goes ur chain! I would get a better springs for ur skid that should clear u up
Then again 8 inch wheels with out the proper adjust to the front too ouch ! What does it handle like ? Any darting or plowing ? Very hard cornering ? All the springs should adjust atleast 10mm hope this helps

The sled drives awesome and the track is adjusted properly. I run mine loose as possible without racheting. The track may be digging into then slides during cornering. The skid is straight and tight.
