Michigan Sledneck

Original Problem Started Because of the Wire rub through issue under Engine. Replaced the Harness. After Replacing harness had No Lights, so we replaced the 3 Regulators on (LH) Kick panel to no avail. Tested ohm reading on Stator and found it to be Bad, So I bought one from a friend that had a good used one off from a Wrecked SRX ( Same Guy I got the regulators from). Changed it out and everything worked until I noticed when I touched throttle the lights would get bright , I did this couple times and it actually Burnt headlight and 2 dash bulbs out, ( Bought new bulbs and replaced) so I figured regulator and put my original ones back on and it did not fix it ( did the same thing, lights got bright).
Is it possible for the Stator to put out Too much power? ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated. My Sons 18th birthday is Feb 18. and I was hoping to give the sled to him.

Thank You!!!
I tested at the Headlight plug and the condenser and ended up with 14.8 volts. I never would have thought both regulators I tried would have been bad. I guess there are some parts (even if they come off a running sled that was wrecked) that are ok used but this time I am going to the dealer. Will post after I install NEW regulator.
