Got some freezing rain up there last night... further north you go, better it should be. I'd probably start at Seeney and head north... Grand Marais and such.
From the Newberry trail report.

Not much new to tell you. The trails are in great shape up in the snow belt and icy toward town. We haven’t had but a couple of inches of snow here and there since the big freeze after the rain so there isn’t much powder to speak of. Icy corners are still a problem. Temps are supposed to be in the single digits. So if you are coming up this week-end bring lots of warm clothes and be prepared for frigid conditions
PARADISE TRAIL REPORT, AS REPORTED BY THE PARADISE CHAMBER

Pinestump, Trail 8 north, good condition. Whitefish Point, Trail 452, good condition with detour. (culvert out). Trail 8 South, fair to good condition, reroute around swamp continues. Stay on the WEST side of M123 where groomers have provided alternate route. Tahquamenon Falls, Trail 45, good condition with passable wet spots.
HULBERT, STRONGS AREA AS REPORTED BY JERRY

Jerry says the trails are still in great shape with about a 4” base although you MAY encounter some brown snow in places.
CURTIS TRAIL INFORMATION AS REPORTED BY TERRY WATSON

Riders in the area have reported that the Curtis area trails are in fair to good conditions. The groomers have been out and the traffic is moderate. There is alot of fishermen on the lakes and alot of DNR officers too! We could do with a good snow storm!
