After I read the "grooming 101" post it kind of inspired me to join a local club (I've been thinking about it anyway). The problem is I just moved to this area (Gaylord, MI) and I don't know who to get in contact with to do so. I'm sure the are other TY members who would be intrested in joining a club as well if they knew who to get in contact with.
Club members please take the time to post your contact information or meeting times and places for all of us intrested in joining.
Thanks,
Tom

Hey, I just moved up to "Stock"... which is good because that is what my sled is... totallyamaha stock!!!
Join A club?
Join "A" club as in one? Come on guys. I'm on the board of directors / trailmaster in one club and belong to a total of 5. I have close friends that belong to a lot more than that. Clubs do great things for our sport and everyone should belong to AT LEAST one.

Matt, Post up some info for the New Yorkers.
If there is more than 1 club in my area I'm sure I will get involved with them.
I just need to know who to contact to make it happen.

Hey, I'm not rich, clubs have dues... I'd like to join one MINIMUM... but without some INFO, I can't do that. So, some of the Michigan clubs would be nice to hear from. Or is there somewhere on TY that lists clubs?? I would like to join one or more where I ride, which would be the Kalkaska area, West Michigan area (G.R.), and the Grand Marais area.
So, help a rider out and let me know where to find some INFO!!!

ViperTom - Found this information for you - The Gaylord Area Snowmobile Trails Council, P.O. Box 3069 Gaylord, Michigan 49734 - Did not find a phone number, I just did a quick search. I belive in joining the clubs were you ride, then help out if you can. I ride the most in Baldwin and belong to the Trail Riders Snowmobile Club (http://trail_rider49304.tripod.com/trailriders/). My dad and four other people started the club a few years ago. Hope this info helps.
These guys are responsible for a big chunk of the central UP.
They do a great job and keep their area in some of the best condition your gonna find in Michigan.

For all fellow NY riders, I have been doing some research for local clubs to join as well, and stumbled across this site.
http://www.nyssnowassoc.org
Do a little looking around, and guarantee that you will find any info and or club details around your area that you are looking for. For Club info, go under the members pulldown and you'll see it.
Good luck,
Chad

They have talked about making it mandatory if you have a registered sled in Wisconsin you must join a club. That would make club enrollment higher and should take some of the burden off of the few that do all the work.We all get tired of the people complaining about the trails and they do not even belong to a club.

the association of wisconsin snowmobile clubs lists clubs by county:
