The 01 SRX I bought in October has a Westach EGT installed but I'm not sure it works. It is a single gauge with the triple needles and 3 probes,I ran the sled with only 2 probes connected for the 3 times I have been out and none of the needles read any temperature so I wondered if all 3 probes had to be plugged in for the gauge to read so I "fixed" the third probe tonight and plugged it in.Once that was done I started up the sled and run it for about 5 minutes or so to see if the gauge would read but it never did so I wondered if I ran the engine long enough or whether the probes need longer to send signal to the gauge. What is the typical responce time for egt probes anyway?
On a related topic I'd like to relocate the gauge from the speedo hole so I can put a speedo back in,where would be a spot that this triple read gauge will fit?I thought about the small spot just off to the left of the speedo hole but I think the gauge is a bit too big,I'll have to measure it to be sure.Anybody have one of these mounted and might post a pic?

I have a 4 window digatron setup on one of my vmax-4's and it's reading temps as soon as I pull the cord to start it. No lag time at all. I have my display mounted on the handlebar post. Different company so I'm not sure what yours looks like.

using a westach on one of my sleds,go to there website and make sure its wired right, all the info is there.pull a probe out and heat it with a small propane torch or something similar.its not going to read anything the second you pull the rope but is pretty fast with a torch,i replaced one probe, got it threw chief aircraft, cheap price and fast shipping
