I was out for the first ride on hard pack snowy frozen slush snow. Anyway after a ways down the trail I noticed my RED diagnostic light flashing. Everything seemed ok and was running good. Lights on etc my ignition switch was on for heated bars (Warmer setting). I turned it back to just ON where it doesn't heat them and it went off. I continued driving like that and it never came back on.
I will have the check the wiring in the handle bars. I expect there are flashing sequence codes. but this was a steady on/off flash with no pattern.
Ok, I searched and read some codes threads but knowhere I do I see a legend of code sequences for the Yamaha sleds. I would not think they would be different for all families of machines. I would have though it was on the forum somewhere but does not come up anywhere.
So does anyone have the complete list of codes. Machine details in signature.
Thx

Theres some in the tech pages but didnt see any for 97 venture. Agree with turning back to run stopped fault code it would be some sort of accessory. Do you have a manual for sled?

Ok I finally found the reference to it in the downloaded manual. Page 5-4 to 5-5 covers it. Smart carb related or high temperature. Are the areas it relates to. Thats it according to the manual.
Anyway I taped two wires on the Handle bar that were worn a bit just in case and closed it back up. I was on another run as I did the day before and no light flashing this time with the grip heaters on all the time. I'll keep and eye on it but seems to be ok.
