I have a fine running 2000 SRX, 550mi. on rebuild 3 new pistons/rings. Runs between 100-155* depending on snow conditions, 125-130* crusing 50-70. Got about 10.5 mpg over 175 mi yesterday. $4.59 a gal. in Lovells Mi. Yikes!! But it does start in 3 pulls in -5* temps after sitting for a week.
My primary had the Heel Clickers explode when the belt snapped (w/the neighbor's kid on it). I bought a replacement off a member here (can't remember who). It came loaded w/a set of 89a weights?? and an undetermined spring. It goes right to 8500 and stays there, not complaining, but I see others say theirs goes to 8200 and creeeps up to 85, or goes to 85, then back down and climbs.
I got a Lightening Pro roller secondary w/a green spring, and a Micro Bellmont 48-38 helix. Works great! I'm just wondering if there's anything left on the table... it does pull like mad to a 100++.
Again, not complaining, but curious. Sorry, never satisfied.
Thanks, John

depends on traction.Today with 0 C I pinned it in the field and launchs's to 8200 and climbs slowly to 8500.If I go where there is less snow to bite or more icy..it will launch right to 8500-8600 and backs down when traction is achieved.I just put in about 185 miles and my mileage is 12 mpg, perhaps a tad more. Don't know why your at around 10.5 mpg..but conditions and riding style determines that.If you are running is sugar like snow, warmer out..that will kill your mileage being it takes more power to turn track in those conditions. My SRX is actually getting better mileage then my SXR 600..go figure.

WHEN YOU GET GREEDY WITH A GOOD SET-UP, YOUR BACK ON HERE WONDERING WHY SLED IS SLOW. ENJOY 3:16 (yammie tony)
Stock track, 192 Stud Boys. Good traction/bad goes there, and sits, not complaining. Lake effect, then groomed, on the main jet all day. 2 mile long straight aways at 105-110. getting stupid. It was faster (120+ dreamometer) before I dumped money on a roller I thought was needed (not). I just don't need the top end as much anymore, I like the trail better than the lake, the roller does work corner to corner. It does run like a dirt bike though. Even w/my fat Azz 265 + leathers. Very happy w/it. Needs a Boss seat/bar riser.
