I have a 1997 mountain max 700 bender piped, and ported. The sled just started cutting out on one cylinder above 7000 rpms. If I stay below that then it doesent cut out. It takes a few seconds above 7000 rpm to cut out, and it will cut out then come back on then cut out. Would this be a stator or cdi issue. What are the ohm values for the stator and wire colours. Thanks.

I'd swap out the plug and plug cap first and see what you get. Start easy and work towards harder.

I think I have found the problem. I had two needle/seats stuck open by junk in the fuel and water. The center cylinder wasnt running, and that carbs needle/seat was stuck open alot. So carb problems can cause symptoms that act like spark issues.
