So I blew my chain in my chain case, I'm about to bite into it tonight, is there and tightening patern for the cover? And what are the tourqus for the bolts?

Just snug em' all up. I usually criss cross tighten. Steel bots into aluminum you don't want to be reefing on them. I think spec is low, something like 12-15 ft lbs. Not very much. Check for leaks. Don't forget to put the drain bolt back in
before you add lube. (Don't ask)LOL!

Go on Port Yamaha or another site and get the number. Not sure if the chain comes connected or not. Either way, Just get your spacers correct, put the chain around the gears and place them on the driveshaft and jackshaft. Looks like there are 2 sizes of chain available. Someone will chime in on which one to order.

had mine go out on my vmax early this year. it was a 70 link chain on mine. go on hauckpowersportsinc.com they have awesome parts diagrams to order off of. Check your gears as well, while you are in there i would suggest changing all the bearings in the chaincase because when those chains go they blow shrapnel everywhere, i got all my bearings from a bearing and transmission shop... cost a total of 33 bucks.. super easy to do if you have a slide hammer. Can't stress this enough, pull off your belt, your secondary clutch, your speedo cable, speedo housing (3 nuts just under where your secondary sits) and check your PTO driveshaft bearing, this with out a doubt causes alot of the failures because the driveshaft will wear through the bearing causing eveything to be out of alignment. set your new chain tension properly, finger tight and synch up that jam nut. Do it right then you only need to do it once!

Haha did the exact same thing at the beginning of this season, I poured almost 12oz in before I smartened up and looked underneath. Needless to say the floor of my shed should be rot proof now with the coating of oil it got!

As for the torque on the chaincase cover bolts, the Yamaha manual shows 7.2 foot pounds.
