Recently purchased a 1996 VMax XT. I have put on around 100 miles this year on it but when the motor is warmed up, something is squealing around the belt area possibly. I know it's not a new belt. Could it be the crankshaft bearing? Something with the belt? Seems like it goes away when I'm driving it but it drives me nuts when I stop!
the belt deflection is too tight from the belt, theres 3 bolts on the backside of the secondary clutch, they need 1 washer removed, this will stop the pig squeelin noise.
Thanks a lot Mr. Viper!

Mine squeals too but only when turning sharp at low speeds; same thing?
Doesn't squel when starting off if going in a straight line
