I was really thinking about getting a SC 10 III for my Viper after the riding season is over. I've been looking at a lot of rear skids online and I saw another that caught my I that I could get a good deal on. Its out of an 05 Vector Rage, I think it was a Pro Action CK. Has anyone tried or road one of these. Which would be a better overall skid the SC III or the Yamaha CK? I tried doing a search on this, but I didn't find anything. Thanx for any info.

You need to be specific what it was out of. An 05 Vector had the pro-active CK suspension. The 05 Rage had a Pro Action 136", basically the same skid that is already in your viper. I don't believe you would be gaining anything by putting the skid in from an 05 rage. The 06 Rage was a Monoshock RA I believe. (At least for US sold models.)
There is a sticky on the 4 stroks side in the Apex forum about trying to make an Apex RTX (Pro Active CK) skid ride like a rev. It's a lot of reading, but there is a lot of good information in there. Also remember, the back end of an Apex would be considerably heavier than the back end of your Viper.

I had an 07 Apex RTX with the suspension you are looking at, but I only had about 150 miles on it when I stretched the sled and put a ZX-2 under it. I can't give you any any valuable real would feedback.

Try searching the 4 stroke side. I believe I've seen more on suspension swaps over there. I know a number of people have put in cat and poo skids.

What don't you like about your Pro-Action and what are you trying to achieve with a different skid?

You're right the skid I was looking at is from a RS Vector. What I'm looking for is easier adjustments for riding solo or 2 up since I do both about 50/50. I also would like a better ride. I know the SC III is a good skid since I had an 02 MXZ 700 before. I was wondering how the Vector skid compared to the SC III.

Sorry, no help on the SCIII.
If you are willing to stretch your sled, I'd recommend a skid out of a newer Venture. You get all the benefits of a 144" setup, plus springs and shocks designed for 2-up riding. I realize this is probably not what you were looking for, but really you are only adding a track and tunnel extension since you would more than likely have to change all your mounting brackets anyhow.
