ALL of your problems are from the cable extender for the bar riser, put it back to stock, adjust the cable and it will be correct again.. 
OR.... continue to bang your head on the brick wall and fight with it. The aftermarket stuff is not the same quality and or same tolerance spec so it doesnt work out to be the same measurement for the correct freeplay.
Set tight its gonna drink oil like you do with a cold coca cola on a 96 degree day......
if its set right it should run about 2 or 3 full tanks of gas to 1 full tank of injection oil. The reason I say 2-3 is because if your doing alot more wide open running it will use more of course, more easy groomed trail running it will use less.

there is no after market stuff in there i made a mistake. i thought where the adjuster is was the extension, but its not all oem. my issue was the top cable was rusted into the top of the adjuster making it not wanna come out. i finally pulled it out the furrel on the end of the cable stayed rusted inside of the adjuster nut, no biggie still was able to take a measurment. it was a speed bump just use to checking freeplay at the pump this 2000 sxr is the newest sled ive ever owned so alot of new stuff.
