What oil should I put in the viper, it has oil injection and I wasn't sure what oil I should use. And can I run 87 pump gas in it? Or do I need to run 93? Thanks
Edit: I have Lucas racing 2stroke oil can I use this?

Hello! Run only the highest octane gas, 93/94. Also Most pre-mix oil is made to mix with gas and is too thick to flow through the injection. Like outboard oil is also different. Make sure you run oil made for the temps of sledding, snowmobile and injection. I run klotz snowmobile.

If I use pre mix oil just until I get the right stuff is that ok or really bad?

Dont use premix!! Run a good oil for injection snowmobile motors...You are running a high performance motor and it demands a good grade of oil.. Dont cheap out or it will cost you in the long run...Also use the highest grade of fuel as well 93octane and also put some octane boost in every fill... I run Amsoil full synthetic oil and my power valves and motor love me for it..

Wheres Nos boy when we need em? Plenty of other threads with TONS of recomendations. Being as you are the one footing repair bills the decision is ulimately up to you. I run SRX (very similar motor) and am pretty anal about FRESH premium, if its sat in tank for more than 2 weeks I syphon and put it in my snowblower or truck. I run Amsoil Interceptor (yellow cap) Supposedly formulated for power valved motors. Choosing an oil for PV motors should make PV cleaning less often and easier.

Is your oil resevoir that low? If oil/fuel ratio is even close you should be running a quart of oil to tank of gas.

definitely run the highest octane gas you can find, and either amsoil interceptor or IPone. Both are very good oils for keeping carbon build-up to a minimum. IPone smells like strawberry too!
I run Iphone that smells like strawberries. I have had good results with clean powervalves too.
In my opinion, I can't stand the smell of the other oils. I mean, whatever doo doo runs.....I get a headache instantly when following one of those things on the trail!
My SRX loves Iphone.

I run groomer a few times a week and unfortunately even "doo doos" pass me! On average about 3 out of 10 sleds SMELLS GREAT.......1 out of 10 STINK! I guess they get used to the smell or something.

I have tried about 8 different oils in the last 10 years in my SRXs and the only oil I run now is Polaris VES Gold. It's expensive but my power valves were never cleaner. Runner up is Amsoil interceptor. Dead last is Yamalube.

Along with running a good synthetic oil and premium fuel put a few onces of seafoam in the gas tank, keeps rings and powervalves clean.
