We are heading North again this coming weekend. We should break the 1,000 mile mark for the year sometime over the weekend. Not the best amount of miles, but we did have alot of fun this year. This could be our last weekend available to ride, so we are going to ride while the riding is good.

I have been riding twice a week for the last month and I have about 600 miles on for the year the snow conditions are pretty good right now, if I was a trail burner I would have a couple thousand at least.

I would like to go back to IR. We really liked the areas west of Woverine. Who knows, we might get a chance to ride up there again. I will let you know. Thanks AlDevilin AblueDress! said:I live up here and your ahead of me! I am slightly ahead of sled miles versus groomer miles. Picture taken East or West of L'Anse? I'm at a meager 198 for the year, but that's 6 rides all off trail.

East of L'Anse, and yes I have about 10 or 12 rides in myself not including the little 20 milers I take my 4 year old on with me, as a matter fact I rode with your brother a couple times this year, I was out riding with Frank last Wednesday and I found out who your brother is (if your the guy I think you are..lol) The pic was from last weekend we went up to a buddies camp we have been going every other weekend, that is my 1st stuck of the year, I live about 8 miles from Frank by snowmobile.

No kidding? Small world. I thought you lived over by L'Anse for some reason. Always trying to keeping track of fellow yoopers that ride the MM. Yes, you probably rode with my brother. He rides with Frank quite a bit. And if you're riding Wednesday's you've probably also met my buddy Brian, more affectionately known as fat-head, flatspot, or Vittu.

Most of mine are!
But I know what you mean. My cousins love racking up miles, but the trail has to be perfect and the only stops they make are for gas and once for lunch. Generaly start around 9:30 and are done by 4:00 with around 260 miles.
My 300 milers have included lots of pitstops and great times with friends.......nothing but SMILES

Yeah, that was me. I talked to my brother last night and I finally put 2 and 2 together. That was quite a trip.

Yes it was, that was the day I got another flat tire and spent 600 bucks on new tires and then after we split up I hit a screw driver in the trail and punctured one of my brand new tires. Damn what a fun day...lol

I have a whopping 234 miles for the season thus far! I love my snowmobiles, but it is starting to get hard to justify the expense. The NY State snow was not the greatest this year again, and I live four hours from the sleds.

We are loaded up and heading North again tomorrow. The conditions are going to be great. The boondocking just doesn't get much better. The base is perfect and the fresh snow is awsome. See ya on the trail. Al

We returned last night from another incredible weekend of riding. Yes, the trails were perfect. The two tracks were deep and the unplowed roads still unplowed. Thumbs up to the groomers in Baldwin, irons, and wellston trail systems. The U Dell hills are nearly perfect for spring riding. The temps in the day raised to almost 30*f but fell at night to nearly 5*f. I hope we can make at least one more run North before the season is over. Al
