Hi everyone,
For only the second time this season I had the chance to ride my bone stock 2000 SRX with 2,400 miles. The sled had the "pre-season" service done on it which included cleaning of the PV's and carbs.
The gas tank is full of non-ethanol 91 octane premium gas and I run Amsoil Dominator oil.
I seemed to notice that the sled didn't have the "rip your arms out" power that I am so used to on that sled. It did however run 100mph + on the reservoir.
I made two observations: 1. When the sled was at full operating temperature at idle, I could give the sled full throttle (to the bar and immediately release) and it seemed to bog or not respond instantly. When you blip the throttle as I described, should it immediately take off, or is what I described normal?
2. When I started it at times during the day, sometimes the coolant light would flash the normal three times, and other times it appeared not to flash at all. The sled started perfectly fine...I don't even stand up to start it since it pulls so easily.
Any ideas? It appears that the grand total of riding this season is about 200 miles. I wish I could ride more often!
Thank you,
Zack

Well the first thing I would do is check your pilot jets for any blockage. Take a small wire and actually feed it thru the pilot. Spray it with carb cleaner, hit it with a blast of air, check again. These need to be spotless. What rpm are you turning at wot?
As for the light situation, may be the beginning of a rub thru on wire harness. Keep an eye on it, your sled will start doing some weird things. Do a search for rub thru, seems every sled will get it eventually.
