help me with a clutch setup for 660 drag mountain srx
hey guys I just picked up this sled and wanting to set it up for some snow and grass drags. the sled has a few mods bender can, cold air kit, transfer rods, im not sure what weights are in it as I haven't tore it down yet. primary spring is yby engages at 3800 and has a terrible bog. secondary has a black and pink spring with a bender 52/42 cam it is in the 6 hole. I ran the sled on a gps the other day and top speed was only 74 mph. it seems to fall flat right away rpm in 500 ft are at 8700 to 8800. I think its to fat on the bottom end as it smells rich at idle what jets are you guys running? if I hold the brake in and bring the rpm up to 4500 it will smoke the belt. whaere should I start thanks

ok I found out the gearing id 20/39 and the weights are 8dn00 with no rivet in the tip so where should I start to get this thing right?

Are you sure you have a Y/B/Y spring as that is for the short cover clutches and your SRX should have a long cover clutch. That may explain your low engagement...maybe someone has swapped in an older SX clutch.
Your gearing should be fine
Secondary Helix should be good with a Yamaha green spring wrapped at 70 degrees
You will have to sort out your primary cover, weight and spring combo...lots of setup recomendations if you use the search function.

It is a yellow primary spring with a blue line through it. Im guessing maybe a bender spring as the sled seems to have other bender stuff on it
