You would think you would get more mileage out of a stock untouched 700 before you started to have engine problems, lol.
Center cylinder is running about 100 degrees colder at idle than the outer 2 cylinders.
It has great spark, clean carbs, premium fuel, clean powervalves, the only thing i havent checked is the compression. Now its never stalled, quit or ever hiccuped just the other day i noticed all of a sudden egt was reading colder and seemed to have a mild bog in top end throttle. I changed plugs, walked around it in both directions , sat on it,stared at it and still no change so im leaning toward a bad cylinder , anyone else have another theory?

Sucks i just put all new bearings throughout the sled, rebuilt both clutches, powervalve cables, cleaned the carbs the 2nd time this season(just to be sure they weren't dirty) i had done them in the fall but after all the work i'd done i thought i'd clean them again so i'd be safe also put another set of new sliders on and most of this done two days before this happaned

A few things could cause the cooler temps at idle:
-carbs out of sync
-plug cap headn south

If your SRX has not had a top overhaul it may be time...

Yes i believe its time for a complete build from crank bearings up. What an amazing motor though, that high of mileage and its never been apart. I certainly cant complain.

Yup...even the "state of the art" new two strokes like the ETECs have sealed crank bearings and the manufacturer BRP says 10000 miles for the bearings...most don't last that long.
Our SRXs are one of the few Dinosaurs that have survived and thrived.

wow thats alot of miles, howa your theremostat? ever changed coolant? let it idle for a while then pull the plugs, see how the cool cylender looks. cold fouled, rich, too much oil ect
