Yes, another track question. My 2002 SRX has the Mono skid upgrade with a 121" predator track. I've been looking at extending the track length but have a few questions. Right now, with the 121", the amount of track that contacts the ground is approx. 35"-36". Could anyone chime in as to how much contact a 128" track has and as well a 136"? The track I'm thinking of using is the 128" camoplast hacksaw (14" x 128" x 1") as it's listed weight is only 34 lbs. Yes, I realize that I will have to relocate some idler wheels (width) but the weight savings seem enticing!!! I would have to use rail extensions (no skid relocate) as I've already cut out and installed the dial control for the mono. Any info is greatly appreciated. CHEERS. ;)!

Im not sure how much more will be on the ground leanth wise but 121x15=1815 sq inches. 128x14=1792 sq inches. So you will have less overall track area.

A dealer told me through testing that the 128" length worked best for top speed. The 14" width is a "Cat" experiment. My friends Crossfire R 1000 uses this track (hacksaw 128 x 14 x 1") and this sled certainly hauls the mail. I would just like to know how much more, in length, these differ from a 121"? Perhaps 128" you gain 2-3", 136 you gain 4-5" in length???

If you stretch a 121 to 128 and use the same rear wheels I think you would do
128" subtract 121" equals 7". That is 3.5" longer on each top and bottom so the answer would be 3.5" longer track in snow. Use the same math for a 136.
