Alright guys I am looking for some help on how to install a stator I have never done one before and the guy that is helping me recommended me to put the question on here to see if I get any feedback.

If anyone could give me some pointers on how to change a stator on a 2000 SRX 700 triple/triple please feel free to post pictures or links that show how to do it. I appreciate it.

I have never done a srx but I have had 700, 600 red head motors apart quite of few times and if I was to do my mm 700 stator right now this is how I would do it.
Remove exhaust
remove recoil and cup (3 allen head bolts these can be tough some times)
remove nut then fly wheel with puller using (3) 8mm x 1.25 pitch thread bolts(length varies with what puller you have)
remove stator there is 3 philipps screws you might need a impact driver there are 4 other screws to they are a little smaller just use a good #2 phillips disconeect wiring harness from stator (2 plug ins)
on a red head there is no adjustment on the stator (slotted holes) if there is adjustment in holes put a mark using a small chisel before taking out stator screws.
Take pictures when you get the fly wheel off so its a piece of cake when you put the new one in.
Good luck
Dave

More than a few threads in the "srx/viper" forum. X2 on above post just want to add couple things Loc-tite (I use blue) when reassembling. In this case dont matter much because your old stator is bad but if ever removing flywheel and stator is good be careful about how far you thread puller bolts into flywheel. If you go to far they will hit (and ruin) stator. I found using a combo of 3/8 and 1/4 drive sockets for removing the re-coil housing bolts works well. Some are a PITA (especially top 1, bolkhead subframe connector in the way) Some guys notch this area on connector.
