ive got a metric m-10 ready to go but undecided what to do with it. i originally bought for my vmax4 and have decided againest installing it in the vmax4. i bought a 2000 sxr 600 witch is my newest trail sled ive ever owned. i like the pro action ive got it all set up the way i want it and it performs awsome. in compairison to what ive been riding my whole life the pro action is like a haven sent from the gods above. just wanted to hear from other m-10 users pros/cons. i always hear everybody bitch about the pro action but to me its awsome, but keep in mind ive trail rode 20 plus years on old iron and really dont know anything differant. is the m-10 worth my time to install or just send it? it came with all new heavy duty springs and two new sets of boogies, sliders, strap limiter. there are some parts discontinued on my older style metric m-10 but i can fab them in a machine shop.

Put it in you won't regret it specially if you thing the pro action rides good. They're a little tippy but with an adjustment to your ride style you can push them through the turns pretty fast. My. 02

amazingly, they are so close to the same skid you will wonder why your pro action rides so bad once you ride one.

not kidding about the similarities. same pivot points, same amount of tranfer action, similar fra adjustment for shock speed. m10 is falling rate rear arm and the pro action is rising rate with yamahas great valving. front arm and shock length and mount points are exaclty the same. I will be building a pro action version for next year just to prove the point. you wont be sorry. put the sxr skid in your vmax 4, it will be better than the original. you will need to widen out some shafts and tubes or use spacers and longer bolts as the tunnel is a little wider

thanks for the input boys! i rode with a guy last week who had a 03 vmax 600 he had an m-10 in his but was a first time sled owner who didnt have a clue. when riding behind him i could notice he had alot less tail slap in the bumps and he never stood up once looked plush. my summer time project will be the m-10 into the sxr still undecided about the vmax4, i feel guilty butchering my v4 even though it will recieve a pro action. im just worried about the sled being tippy or the tss no performing because of the proaction. the vmax is what it is you dont drive it you point it and hold on for dear life because it never stops pulling. :yam:

not much to make a vmax4 handle in the corner other than widen it. they are only a 40in sled, they should have been a 42 or even 43 with the narrow skis they have on them.

240 studs dont help either but it keeps me at a safe speed on the trails knowing i cant turn for s*!t.
