Gonna be 43 on sat. Viper with rear exchanger. Planning on staying off the trails as much as possible. Kinda worried the air temp is gonna be an issue. I don't know tho. If I keep her in snow will I be ok. If I foul plugs that's ok. There is about 30-45 inch off trail so that's what we are going after. Run power lines and boondock around private property. I bought it to ride it but don't wanna blow her up. Thanks guys. Rejet is not an option.

Ride it. You won't blow a sled up riding in warmer weather than it's jetted for. It will just run rich.

I've ran my Vipers across the water in 50F weather and left them jetted the way they were for the winter.

no problem. run it! .. turn carb heaters off if u want, but ive never noticed a difference leaving them on or off.

the 4th cooler sees alot of snow and sheds the heat well. not to mention its one heck of a piece of mind

if u really get into trouble u can pack your boards with snow but ive run into some warm days on beat up, snirt covered trails and never had a problem with it over heating

I asked this same question a couple years ago and was told to remove my foam filter on the airbox just to take some of the richness out of the carb. Not really sure if it helped or not. Sled ran awesome and had no issues with overheating. I've got the rear cooler on mine too, infact..... I installed it before that trip.

What y'all think, remove filter or what. Feeling much better about riding as temp now are forecasted at 39.... Thanks guys. Also just found out the new vipers will be at a local watering hole and fuel stop for the weekend. I got a helmet cam and plan on a demo with a review. I ride a viper now. Ridden the nytro for miles, a bunch of revs, a few artic cats but not the chassis the viper is on. I'm looking forward to it. My whole group rides yamaha and we all now jacked for this opportunity... Thanks guys.

most likely just running rich because the air is not as dense at warmer temps

yea i figured, i pulled the plugs and they went from tan to black. being in the wet conditions well water skipping probaly didnt help either lol. going down to -10 so time to get the isso alcahol out and go for another ride to clear the water out of it.
