so as a rule of thumb,with your sled sitting on the floor all fueled up without you sitting on it,the limiter straps should just be snug to the touch with center shock preload at 0. When guys say loosen your straps to take load of the ski's and then your straps are loose when sitting by itself..what does this accomplish then.When you sit on the sled the straps will get more slack .A little confused here with adjustment of the straps.I know if you yank the straps up tight you will place more weight on the ski's.
In that senario, you would have less ski pressure under power/acceleration(even less pressure if you added some preload to the center shock).. This would be ok for straight line bumps, but not for cornering under power.
The benifit to having your limiter straps loose when sitting on it, is similar to set-in in any suspension. When you encounter a hole/drop in the trail, it allows the suspension to expand into the hole so your sled doesnt take the kick from hitting the other side of the hole.(if that makes any sense)
