Okay I am working on getting my stuff together to convert my '00 SxR into a dual bulb style headlight and have noticed on the parts fishe that the 8DS-77210-10-00(should be clear mid height w/s with black at the bottom) windshields are discontinued... Anyone know of any nooks and crannies to search for this animal??? Would like a vGC to new part... Thx in advance. Bandit

The stock part number is not discontinued, just superseded and backordered until I believe the 19th of this month is when I last heard.
The part number you want if you don't want to wait is 8DS-77210-00-BK. Black bottom, clear top.

The mid-height smoked one is discontinued. So is blue bottom, clear top.
I ordered the smoke one and got the clear one described above instead.
I have been driving around with one in the trunk of my car for the last week. I was going to send it back because it is virtually the same thing I have now, but it would cost me $30 in shipping. (see my post in SXR section titled Windshield woes)
It doesn't have the white YAMAHA screened into it above the headlight as stock, but here is a decal to get around it if you need it to say YAMAHA for something like $15-$16.
