Just curious...is it very obvious when you have a stuck power valve and/or how much hp would be sacrificed with a pv fully closed at wot?

you will notice it will be sluggish and have a slight bog just dont mistake a pull thru for a stuck valve ...sounds like its time to pull them clean and adjust them if stuck dont use pliers or vise grips on the shaft to remove it ...depending on how bad its stuck you might be able to use a propane torch to heat it up to soften the carbon and pull it out ....if its a pull thru get ahold of me and i can fix u up better than new and while cleaning them be sure to look for enbedded cable in the valve top feel free to contact me if you got any questions

I was just asking because I have a broken cable (ordered a new set). Took it out for a ride the other day knowing it was broken. I haven't ridden a sled in prob 10 years and I am really amazed at what this thing can do as is...just was wondering how much power I was leaving on the table riding with a broken cable.

Yamaha head...do you re-coat the valves after you repair...and if so what do you do to them (coating)

i can,,,,but i have not been doing it lately cause my coater told me that it would hold up and it actually wears faster than stock coating i started usein a teflon cermanic coating would proballt have to have it redone every few years so i than switched to a hardcoat and after the first stuff i have had the hard coat in testing which is still ongoing which seems to be doing well and i have a few other coatings just tryin to see which holds up the best since the price is pretty salty
