I know this would be a.question better suited to ask Scott Bergstrom but I'm at work and bored right now so I'll post it here.If one was to upgrade to the triple point carbides would you still need as long a one as the traditional singles? If you have 144 studs and use 6 in carbides would the triple point in say 4 in lenght be as good? I'm kind of thinking you still only have one keel of carbide cutting at once so you still need the same length?

Depends on your riding style but with that many studs I would use no shorter than 6

I am with stein on this. When I got my sled it came with 4" carbides and they sucked. My track has 144 pics in her as well. When I switched to dual 6" carbides wow what a difference. I can corner like no tomorrow and with all those pics pushing on the hard pac you want to be able to control her. JMO..
