but couldn't get his 91 Phaser 500 going.He was there with his buds on a Polaris and Cat as well.I couldn't resist to help out a Yamaha guy.These guys are nice kids..about 16 -17 of age.He said it just died on him on the River.It is fan cooled,thought maybe let it cool a bit and it will start.It would fire for a few seconds and die.Then it wouldn't fire at all and then fired after another attempt.I then knew by the sound it was running on 1 cylinder..pulled one plug and nothing changed..pulled the other and it died.So I thought he blew a piston..but he cranked it and my thumb over the SP hole and there was a lot of compression.You should of seen the look on his face when I said perhaps motor is fine.Then as he cranked I could not see any spark on either plugs.We changed the bad side plug..no spark.So sounds like intermittent spark.His buddy towed him with his Poo.Told him to check next day when everything was cold..maybe it will fire again..then maybe coil or something acting up.Also told him to check compression.I felt sorry for the kid..I said WHAT..A Yamaha broken down..that never happens..lol..Nice kids anyways..very polite..the next generation of riders... 
You didn't help him. You let a Poo tow him.

they just live 1/2 mile away..I didn't have any tow rope on BM2's XTC with me.That's why his buds are there for.If I would of towed him..I would of been Catwalking the XTC all the way..hope they made it up the River Bank only.I would of ripped his bumper off with the XTC..lol
