After several years of owning my 99srx 700 im going to do some clutch work. Went out today to get some baseline numbers. Found something odd. If i make pass after pass without letting the sled cool the rpms on top will rise. First few passes were 8450. But as i kept going back and forth across the lake they climbed to 8850. First thought was the belt was slipping due to hot clutch. Nope they were still only warm to the touch. Looking for some input on what would cause this. Im going to take a stab in the dark and guess that it has something to do with my exhaust pipes heating up and "moving" the powerband up a bit. A little more info is that it was hard pack 96 up the middle on a .75 track. 45F out all runs around 1320 or less.
