Just got on my facebook to see a person I know from high school standing on the first SR viper ever made. Cant believe they are up here. Must be testing them out on the trails up here seeing the Michigan trail stickers on all of them. Hard to believe that there already out on the trails. :sled1:

Demo rides are being held 10 minutes north of my house. Went up the 3 seperate times. NO SIGN UP SHEET....Stand around in a parking lot and wait to be told it was your turn. Last trip up there I waited 2 hours to be told the "guides" were taking a break for an hour or so and for every one to come back later. Thinking maybe I should check into when artic cat is having demo's.

Yea they were at larrys bar right?? I never saw that they were demoing the sleds there. Are they doing it tomorrow too? And yea i think the cats might ride the same as the new viper lol!!

Yeah, the yamahauler semi has ben there since tuesday. T&R yamaha and Idian River powersports trailers showed up friday. They are supposed to have them tomorrow if it doesnt rain.

now heard from a local dealer that Cat will run Yami motors in their sleds..how do you like that and that Yamaha will still keep making their own sleds..here we go again..something fishy here....Cat must be in BIB PROBLEMS and Yamaha is saving their azzz's..WOW!!

thats nothing new. It's been stated all along cat would be using the engines and Yamaha has more new models coming out over the next few years with the Viper being the only yamacat. If you werent being so cynical and only seeing what you wanted you would have read that info here.

I have a buddy thats a die hard cat fan, ben trying to tell him exactly that and hes a lil on the narrowed minded side and all he seems to keep responding with is " HA ha ha yamaha using our chassies". Pretty common upgrade on a yamaha is swapping out the skid. I think the list of engines artic cat hasnt used is shorter than the ones they have. I have owned a handful of cats. Came with JLO rockwell,Suzuki,kawasaki.....now yamaha!

All I can say is I hope they bring back a hot rod 2stroke 2015 but I think it will be a turbo we will see

I am pretty interested to see what yamaha and cat both take away from the tech exchange. I think they both stand to gain a lot, as I have said before. going to be a long summer!

I do believe Cat sleds will become Yamaha sleds..looks like Yamaha is saving their skin, their 9 lives are up I guess.Everything will be going 4 stroke by the sounds of it and from our local dealer.Bluemonster 2(my stepson) is friends of a guy whose mom owns the Yamaha Dealership out of town..so some info was had.

she told Scotty that the Cats will have Yami motors..so we just have to wait and see.Like I said earlier,I think Cat is in a whole pile of crap..so they had to get this deal to hook up with Yamaha..Now who do you think approached who first??Yamaha didn't need to..since they will still be designing their own chasis and skids and new models in the future,Yamaha we were told is not going to roll over and play dead..they are still designing for the future. So Cat needed a boost and what better way then use Yami motors...like I said we will know what is true next Feb.Just hang on tight..you never know what Cat pulls out of their bag. They are being sued as well which don't help them at this point..perhaps desperation is setting in..and Yamaha just needed a place in North America where they could st up shop..what better place then a Cat Shop..lol
Of course Yami wanted something out of the merger..aplace to build sled in N America to cut down cost..maybe the future is looking brighter for the consumers with a lower pricing to come..lets hope..either way..the sleds should be decent quality..

Well, the new 600 2 stroke is not a Yamaha design. Sounds like that design is cats own.
Next February will be a big deal as the 2015 cats will not have Suzuki motors anymore. It's possible that Suzuki sells the motors to cat as those 1100 twins are not used by Suzuki at all.
