Heat light has been flashing this year and I thought it was the sensor. Light would flash 8 times and looked at the website and suggested it was the sensor. Replaced the sensor and light still flashes 8 times. I have no overheating issues when riding. Followed the wirelead back about 8 inches and all looks good. What else do I look for? Plug looks good. I didn't have a tester when I replaced the sensor but if I had what would I look for?
Thanks

Did you double check that all the pins in the plugs are pushed into place?

is your sled flashing the triangle warning light along with the fuel icon or just the temp icon?
the 8 flash code is usually associated with the fuel level sensor or wiring to it.
if your seeing the temp icon, check the wiring at the plug on the head.

i had the same issue..took the plug apart and found the wire broke off the pin...fixed that and next trip the light started flashing again..took plug off and realized when i put in on one of the pins wasnt aligned right..just something to look at..
