found an 02 pro x skid for $200, all it needs is the front shock. i ride trails but love pounding drifts and playing in the deep stuff. Is it worth putting it in my viper(big upgrade from what i got) and how much work am i getting into?

I say go for it. I put an Edge skid in my Viper this fall and it does make a difference. If you are capable of taking a skid out and re installing it now I would say you shouldn't have much problem with the swap. I used the measurments from the Pioneer web site and everything works well. I also suggest getting a pneumatic rivet gun as you need to use steel rivets which are almost impossible to do by hand. Feel free to PM me with any questions.
i heard this is an awesome upgrade for the Viper.. gonna get that done over the summer!

i installed an sc3 skid in my srx best thing i ever did will never go back to a pro action takes the jups woops and handles great on the trail, and will do a wheely in the powder instead of just plowing. an edge susp will do much the same, go for it you will not look back.
