Changed Battery and had problems with sled starting. Wiggled red starter wire and sled would start. Replaced starter wire, found ground wire corroded off and fixed that. Tried starting sled and starter spins but doesn't engage ring gear on clutch. Looks like you have to pull the motor out to get starter out, any ideas?

You won't have to pull motor but that bottom bolt is a challenge. Loosen the two front motor mounts and lift front of motor with a 2x4 and that will give you enough clearance to get a wrench in there. It is a PIA but is doable.

Didn't have to pull the starter. New battery was bad. Put in a new battery and works good. Thanks for the advice, it's a lot easier to get at the wire on the starter.
