had the stator off on my srx did the ohm test when I had it off to repair wire but put it back on and still no spark. Tried testing voltage when pulling the rope but got nothing. Any one know how to test the voltage output on this and wat it should be reading? Got a new stator on way but just trying to find out if this is for sure the problem.

I've got the ohm specs but nothing for voltage readings,I doubt you'll find them as this is one measurement rarely given in a manual.I can give you the ohm specs for 98/99 stator or if you need it I have the pdf from the site for 2000 and up.

I did ohms check , every thing checked good but ohms checks just tells u if wires are bad not if it's gonna out anything out. Stator looks to b in good shape tho

Were are those located at? But still tho I should get some kind of
Voltage reading when I pull the rope and test all the prongs rite?

The ground for the wiring harness is on the frame above where the voltage regulator is mounted. If your sled is 99 or newer it's right by the power valve servo as it's mounted up on the frame instead of on the airbox like the 98's.
You might have a CDI problem there instead if as you say you have no spark at all. What year is your sled?

It's a 98. I tested the stator tho
Unplugged the three connections and got nothing on all of them for voltage when I pulled the rope. It was acting up before 3 differnt weekends. Ran for about 10 or 15 mins then backfired and died on me. Then took it home started it u

The next weekend started up fine then ran for about 20 mins then cut off got it started then fouled plugs about 10 mins after I got it started again the stared missing real bad after I replaced the plugs for second time on a 40 min
Ride then just died and neaver no spark since

Definately worth checking out that ground connection. You may have ben bouncing/jiggleing it around enough to get a half arsed ground for a half arse spark which is why it was running goofey fouling plugs. Now there may be no ground = no spark. Easy enough to verify.

Put new stator on I got from viperking she fires like a champ now ain't started yet but I'm sure it's gonna start rite up
