Hey guys I had 2 interesting moments today when i was riding im not sure if they were freak accidents 1st i was in town going to a gas stating and ridding a side walk going across driveways and got stuck and as i was trying to push it up i was giving it gas and the track just locked up! like i grabbed the brake or something i didnt know what the hell happend! i gave it gas turned freely no issues road the machine probably another 40 miles no issues at all ridding it hard to and at the end of the day i went to cross the road and i dont know if my wear rods dug into the pavement or something hung up again but it was like the brakes were put on again i was standing a flipped right over the windshield! once again took off fine after that and had no issues the seconday spring is not broke i dont know what the hell is happening or i i hit the brake once on accident struggliing to get unstuck and if my wear rods just dug in had anyone had this happen? just locks up and stops? sled never died either time

Get a GoProand film it......If nothing else we might get a good laugh out of it. Check over your skid, if your missing the plastic tip of the rail your track might be getting snagged on it or a broken W arm flopping around. If it were in the clutching I wouldnt think you could take right back off with no residual issues.

not uncommon to melt the hyfax and have it stick to the track clips and stop your sled depending on snow conditions.

carbides and pavement have been known to cause sudden stops as well.

you may have been bitten by both, but i like the helmet cam idea.

yes I'd love to see you do a triple flip over your windshield and land on your feet..get the camera going.Check if your brake is not locking up somehow,IDK

Got out there this morn and the bumper on the chain case side of the rail is missing up front!!! the track seams to be alright both times it happend i was at a dead stop and went to take off I'll have to order one up and put it back on glad its such an easy fix!! hurt a bit not having it lol! thanks for the posts!!

Crazy how random stabs in the dark hit the nail on the head ;)! Had a buddy DESTROY a near new track...he was moving a lil faster!

they are riveted on,but better to use a bolt and silicone before you slide them on.I doubled riveted mine on the SXR and silicone and riveted the new ones on my SRX.

doesnt sound to hard just happy it wasnt something really major! i looked at it breifly this morn it was in the back of my pickup so i couldnt see it to well the rivets are they on the bottom or on the side of the rail is it easy to drill the old one out? think i should replace both of them?

track is good and tight like it should be i did the recommended sag 1.5" or 2 with the 20 pounds of down pressure could it be to tight?
