I've got a 97 VMax 600 SX. Lost the mag side cylinder this weekend. Popped the head off and it looks like the ring got caught somehow in the exhaust port. Piston and cylinder (above exhaust port) messed up. Admittedly I don't know much about these cylinders but are they 1) re-borable 2) re-sleevable 3) re-platable. To make things even worse I woke up to 6 inches of snow this morning, March 18th, 2013.

Yes cylinders can be replated and even welded, depending on damage...
Check Millenium out, they also have Canadian dealers and can give you an exchange cylinder quickly.
