i will be installing an m-10 in my 2000 sxr my question is does the m-10 allow for a taller lug? it would make me happy if i could run an inch and quarter track with studs. can it be done or just give up and run the one inch? thanks guys :yam:

the m10 is not the issue, if mounted with the stock washer down to the board, it does give more guard clearance in the rear and middle but the issue is at the tank bow and the front exchanger with 9 tooth drivers.
You can safely run a 1 1/4 with stock drivers if you only use 1.175 studs. I know, the math doesn't work but stud manufacturers do not measure studs correctly. These will give you decent traction and not kill the tunnel, speed or your track.

If your trying to stud and keep speed, get an ice attack or ice ripper.

with any of these tracks, you will need to take care of the guard interference issues depending on depth of track as all tracks will drag on anything above a 3/4 in track in that chassis, This means custom guards or clipping the track. Don't let anyone talk you into letting it wear down. That takes forever and is harder on the track.

ok viper copy that, still efficiant snow movement around the front exchanger with the 1 1/4 probably not a huge issue for me i try real hard to stay on the trails but every now and then we like to boondock. when you say stock washer the flat piece on the outside of the tunnel right? put those right to the running board ? i think the team fast measurments leave that bracket up a wee bit and when i saw that on other yamahas i didnt like it. is there a better bracket then that one, it is fairly thin stock? thanks man :2strokes:
