I created an issue in order to resolve one. Electrical anyone?

Okay, So it's end of season here and I want to get rid of my flashing code for grip warmer. The previous owner put a toggle switch in and left a lot of undesired wiring for me. I believe this is why its flashing, so I bought the oem switch and tied in what I thought were the correct wires. My lights flash now, like a stator issue.

So, I tied my oem switch in to the yellow wire and red/brown wire that were located near the servo motor in the pic. Do I have to connect the white wire in order to solve my issue?
