I have been running vmax johns set up in the wifes sled for a couple seasons, seem doggy out of the hole until the rpms come up. It has a BPB primary spring as per his set up, wondering how much difference it would make if i install a WSW spring? should help engagement with a stiffer pre load, and raise shift rpm with the higher rate? just wondering if it is too much? it turns 7900-8000 now, but is supposed to be at 7800, maybe the wsw primary spring and loosen up the converter a little?
did you put in the engagement shims that that set-up calls for?

I cant remember if i did or not? More than likely not, as i do not like shimming the primary springs, as a lot of times that will make them bind.
did not bind for me on mine and it probably will fix the issue you are having with your clutching.
