Anyone with Pro Action sleds may want to check this.
On my last ride I noticed the occasional wiff of fuel and observed some fuel on left side of tunnel.
I removed the airbox and noticed some fuel around fuel line fitting on the fuel tank. I removed the 10mm bolts to check the O ring and the fuel elbow fell off the tank fitting!
I cleaned the fitting and applied Green loctite
Reinstalled and good to go!

it is always something Bob,glad it was you and not me..lol..Could this be a Yami recall now...
At least yours was easy to get to for proper repair. Mine was the over flow spigot that came out. Gas was everywhere every time I filled up.

Glad I found it in the garage.
It would not have been fun had it fallen off in the middle on nowhere!
I also have had the vent fitting come loose on both of our SXs and my SRX...at least they won't drain the tank!

I had a bottle of oil explode in my storage compartment,
And it's traveled under the seat and came pouring down the side of the tunnel.
I thought it was coolant at first. Man was I glad it was just oil....
It was a to get everything clean again tho.
had to take the gas tank out and air is to get it all.

wow, that could have been a fire starter. I've seen the vent ones pop off a lot. Thats the first supply one I've seen. I'm surprised that doesn't happen more often seeing how so many of the vents do it and they appear to be the same type of fitting.

I had this happen a few years ago as well. happened to me on a trip and I had to keep stopping so I could jam it back in good enough to stop leaking so bad. FUn FUn

As far as the vent fitting coming loose, where does it come loose from & would this also give you the fuel smell.
I just got back from the UP & I noticed that smell of gas also. Never had that before. This is also on a 02 Viper.

the vent fitting looks just like the pickup fitting in bobs pic but it's above the airbox under the steering post loop.

Darn Tootin'
I've seen a number of them do that. Quite annoying, but easy to fix. Some models it is kinda hard to get to though. I've used sleeve retainer and it seems to hold up.
