Hey fellas... I hit a bad bump at high speed and broke my left hand slide rail. Can someone fill me in on how to replace this? I have an idea but I want others opinions/tips. I'm thinking this may be a good time to do the 7.5 rear wheels and 5.35s polaris Indy wheels as well. Thanks!

Pull the skid and start un-bolting. I have a few rails if you need one. PM me...

Can I leave the track, or does the track have to come out when I take out the skid? I thought I could just loosen the track from the rear idlers and drop the skid with the drivers and track still intact?

I'm sure you could replace the rail with out pulling skid but it is very easy to pull And then replace. It always helps to have a buddy help get skid in and out of track but even by yourself it's not that difficult. Search this site and you can find good directions. I have never tried just to replace a rail but think it may be easier to pull skid. I would device skid at same time too. Good luck.

track can stay, loosen it up as much as you can at the rear of the skid, where you would normally tighten the track.
