What is a 2000 srx 700 worth? 3300 miles, hauck clutch kit, jacket, helmet, cover, dollys, overall nice shape, just a few light scratches.

In Ontario, Canada that could fetch up to $3,500.

Wisconsin... not so much.

I paid $1800 for mine and put about $500 into it to get it running top notch.
I'm in canada too and the prices are higher up here. I got mine for cheap, normally they're around $2500-$3000. I would say $1000-$1500 for that sled. You'll have to see what they are going for in your area to find out for sure what the going prices are.

About the same as an 01 really. A pretty well known member sold similar sled a month or so ago for $15-1600. ALOT of variables. Kind/style of jacket? Dollies? Cover? Being as we are going into summer storage season you should be able to save some dough. I would go to WWW.KBB.com. They have a snowmobile section. Enter zip code (obviously worth more the longer the riding season) You can check "retail value" as well as a "trade in value" for your area. Accurate price should fall in between.

Well, he was asking $2100, I offered him $1500 and he came back at $1800. I might come back at $1600. I think it might have been worth $1800 a month or so ago but spring is here, sleds usually go really cheap this time of year. Right now I do have a sled, 97 sx700, I was just thinking of getting an extra sled if I could find a deal. Thanks for the info

All about the haggleing. I am going out for a few miles on my 00 and then going to look at an 04 viper with hartman 144 kit on it for $1600. If that dont pan out theres a 04 rx-1 mountain guys asking $2500 but has already come down to $2200 (says he broke rear shock) and havent even seen it yet. This time of year is the last ditch effort to get any real money for a sled. They will be even cheaper in another month when theres no test drive.

I just emailed the guy back, I'm going to stay at $1500 for now. If I dont get it for that price, no big deal, I'll come across a great deal sooner or later.

If aint to far away maybe take $1600 with ya and take it for a test drive. If he wont take $1600 leave it as a standing offer (unless you buy a differant one) He might call you next week and say yes.

The sled is actually over 3 hours away from me so I really dont wanna drive that far to look at it. He sent me a bunch of pics and said if we made a deal he'd meet me someplace in the middle so I'd have about 1 1/2 hours to drive. He didnt accept my offer of $1500 but he'd let me know if he changed his mind. If he sits on it for a few weeks he may end up accepting my offer of $1500, I hope!

Stick with $1500, the snow is leaving and anything from here on out will go cheap! A lot of guys ditch sleds to buy summer toys this time of year. I usually try to buy sleds in the summer and boats in the winter.

Well...I missed out on that sled but I'm going to pick up a different 2000 SRX today for $1550. very nice shape, little over 5000 miles on it, rebuilt engine from the crank up by Hauck powersports 1500 miles ago, all new bearings throughout the sled. It does have a studded track and I never liked studs, would it hurt anything if I removed the studs?

i would ride it before i remove those studs. with a rebuild by hauck, you may need them in there. otherwise i've taken studs out of my kids 500, no problems. i did put them back in though cause it would spin bad on hard pack.

I've got a 97 sx700 without studs, it did spin alot, I put in a set of adjustable transfer rods and that helped alot, I may get a set for the SRX if I remove the studs.

most often, the studs always tear out of the outer belts from turning, if you remove the studs from the outer belts and leave the inner belt ones you usually wont encounter too may problems then, and you still have the benefit of studs for icy conditions.

of course the inner ones still need to be installed correctly, meaning the nut is not over tight and squishs out the track material around the heads and the backer plates.
