Maybe there is a thread on this issue but could not find it. Recently, my Vmax has been dieing when I come to a complete stop(idle) and it seems like my clutch is not gearing down? Almost sounds like it's flooded. Sometimes it will idle but after I here a 'click' around the clutch area. Any ideas what it could be? Looks like I have 5 months to fix it as Minnesota (metro) starts to thaw out now.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Time for a rebuild of the primary clutch...
Primary needs new bushings and rollers, rebuild the whole thing.
Dang, I was afraid of that. Thanks for the input guys!

All depends on how well its ben taken care of. I bought a 95 vmax 600 that was doing the exact same thing. Previous owner had enrolled it in the gas/oil as needed service plan with a clause for checking the belt only when it breaks. Popped the clutch off and cleaned, cleaned and cleaned some more. Once it was clean I lubed everything up and it worked like a charm for 2 more years that I know of.......New owner could still be riding it as I left it.
