to Mookster, Sharona, vmaxjohn, and whoever else was/is going to be at breakfast at the Best Western in Munising this morning. I got my son-in-law, Bob, up to go meet you guys.......but I told him there was nothing he could say that would make me get on the sled and ride 25 mi. to breakfast. Not at -18 deg. F.................just call me "Sissy Boy".
I don't NEED to ride at this temp to prove I'm stupid.........everybody knows it anyway
Anyway, I hope we get the chance to ride with you guys another time.

-18F is nothing.. Try -40F... Been there done that.. When there is snow I ride... Season is to short to hold out for nice weather.

I'm with you snowbandit, no offence to anyone but I dont get the chance to ride every day therefore i ride whenever I can regardless of the temp. (I have cut aon or two rides short)

Yeah, guys, but I'm retired and I CAN ride virtually every day..........hence I don't feel compelled to "punish" myself....

No problem Buddah! We had quite a few folks, and we did get a late start after John overslept until about a minute past our breakfast call...
We got a good ride in for sure, and it actually was the warmest ride of the weekend, trails were so so, they ranged from airstrip smooth to pretty bumpy, but it was a good ride nonetheless. Did some sled swapping and some on trail repairs to Big Guys carbs after they fell off after a quick drag race...

Sorry, but I don't enjoy myself when the temperatures get that cold, and if I'm not enjoying myself, what's the point? Just to say you put some miles on or to brag about how brave you are? Riding in -40 temperatures is dangerous and not very smart.

I know it felt warm compared to Saturday. Bob and I did the southern loop around past the Jackpine and thru Stueben and then cross country to the Buckhorn and then home. 80 mi. total. BUT.........we waited until it hit 0 before starting out.......around noonish or so
