Alright so its the end of the season, going to tear into the carbs and try to solve this problem. I will Be running down the trail at a good clip, half throttle let's say, then there's a stop sign so I let off the throttle to slow down, look both ways real quick, (so let off to idle position, stop for a moment then slowly crack the throttle to creep across the road). It gurgles and seems to load up and kinda lug for a few seconds the clears up slowly. Its only if I let off the throttle for a very momentary stop and jump back on. I can pinn it from a dead stop and no bog or load up. Any thoughts on what this could be, and where I could start? Its like a low gurgling rumbling sound and only does this every so often. But it bothers me!
P.s, probably notice a lot of the sxr/vmax forums are from me, I post a lot. Sorry!just a perfectionist when it comes to machinery is all!

My 97 sx does the same. I read somewhere that reed spacers helps with this problem.

Are you running the stock jetting? My 97 doesn't seem to have that problem. I keep my carbs very clean!!!

On my sled I dropped the mains down one size, some say go 2 sizes down but that may be a little risky on really cold days, I also dropped the needle down one notch. I also put in a set of boyesen reeds and did the reed notch. This really cleaned up the throttle response on my sled. Did your sled always run like this? What temps are you running it in?

This sled is new to me, and its intermitent, and not tors. -10c. Would this be a fuel screw problem? Or what should I be toying with?

It could be the fuel screw or maybe the floats need adjustment, but I'd make sure the carbs are super clean.

I can't remember what my screws are set at, I'll have to check on that. What year SXR? Here is the stock jetting for an 01 SXR, Main jets, #1, 150, 2&3 148.8, pilots 40, Needle clip position 3, fuel screw 1 1/8
